Valkarse FAQ

Q: What is Valkarse?
A: Valkarse is a non profit Live Action Role Playing game set in a medieval fantasy universe.

Q: What is a Live Action Role Playing game (larp)?
A: A larp is a roleplaying game much like Dungeons and Dragons where players create characters to participate in adventures within the world that the game takes place. In pen and paper roleplaying games such as Dungeons and Dragons, the players sit around a table, roleplaying and rolling dice to resolve conflicts. In a larp, players meet up at a park where they roleplay and resolve conflict, instead, with a combat system that utilizes real combat with padded weapons.

Q: What does 'Garb' mean?
A: Your costume. There are no garb requirements for the beta, but when Valkarse launches, players will be expected to have garb before they can reach level 2.

Q: What do I need to bring for the beta test? Do I need a costume?
A: If you have one, you may bring your own garb(costume) but it is not necessary for the beta. Just make sure that you wear 'outdoor friendly' clothes. We will provide all the necessary equipment you will be using. We will also be providing water for everyone but if you wish to bring your own refreshments, by all means feel free!

Q: Does what race I choose affect my character in any way?
A: No, race selection only affects the way you role play your character, how your garb looks, and how others may choose to interact with you.

A: After the beta is over, the leveling system will be released with the launch of Valkarse.
